Y6 Holocaust Memorial

On Monday, year 6  learnt about the Holocaust. The children were given an overview of the key events that happened during WWII including some horrifying statistics about the number of lives lost and the terrible treatment of the Jews during this time. We also watched a documentary film where we followed a survivor as he took his grandaughter on a journey of his childhood. 

I was really proud of how the children listened and reflected upon what had happened and they could describe why it is important that these lessons are conducted so past mistakes are never repeated.
