Art
Curriculum Intent
Our intent for art and design is to ensure all children are given opportunities to;
- produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
- become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques
- evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
- know about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms
- value the process over the product so that children become confident exploring different ways to be creative.
Curriculum Implementation
At Crowle Primary Academy we follow the Access Art curriculum.
Outlined below is the knowledge, skills and vocabulary progression at Crowle Primary Academy for each strand in art and design.
Curriculum Impact
By the end of each key stage, all children can apply and understand the skills, knowledge and processes they have been taught. Children will demonstrate this through their proficiency in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft, and design techniques.
Formative and Summative assessment is used throughout the year to support pupils with their development.
